Access to and use of the www.theshearline.com website and any application (the "Website") confer User status upon visitors to the website and implies full acceptance without reservation of these terms and conditions of use on the part of the User. If you do not accept this, please do not use this Website.

Users can only use the Website and its content for personal and private use. Any other use is forbidden and will require Users to obtain prior express written authorisation from The Shearline.

User obligations

In general, Users must always act in accordance with the law, common usage or good faith requirements and with due diligence, and abstain from using the Website in any way which prevents, harms or deteriorates the Website's normal functioning, The Shearline's assets or rights, its suppliers, other users and any third party in general.

Specifically, and without this implying any restrictions to the preceding section, when using the Website, Users are obligated to:

Section 2 - Personal data treatment and commercial communications

a) Information about personal data treatment

Pursuant to Constitutional Act 15/1999 on Personal Data Treatment (hereinafter, the "Personal Data Treatment Act") and its implementing regulations, specifically Royal Decree 1720/2007 of 21 December, which approves the implementing regulation of the Personal Data Treatment Act, we hereby inform you that:

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

In the event that Users subscribe to The Shearline's Newsletter, the data provided during the Newsletter subscription process shall be included in a file for which The Shearline is responsible and the address is that stated at the start of this document. The only purpose of the file is to manage the Newsletter subscriptions and send emails about our store, new products and other updates.

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

d) Electronic commercial communications

Users subscribed to The Shearline's Newsletter provide their express consent so that commercial communications related to the The Shearline's Newsletter and/or to the The Shearline Group's activities, products and offers can be sent to them for the purpose of that envisaged in the local mandatory regulations applicable in each case. Section 3 - Shopify


Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.


Payment:

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
